The latest transfer speculation from Tottenham Hotspur as the January transfer window enters its final fortnight.

Tottenham Hotspur star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg reportedly wants ‘a new challenge’ amid suggestions Juventus are keen on the Denmark international.

The 28-year-old midfielder is now in the final 18 months of the five-year deal he penned when agreed to join Spurs in a £13m move from Southampton during the summer of 2020.  Since making the switch to North London, Hojbjerg has gone on to make over 160 appearances for Spurs - but has made just six starts in all competitions during the first half of the current season.

The likes of Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have all been tentatively linked with a move for the former Bayern Munich midfielder in recent weeks - but it is Serie A giants Juve that are said to be keen on securing a loan deal for Hojbjerg before the end of the January transfer window.

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has given an update on interest in the midfielder and claimed a desire to secure regular starts means Hojbjerg would be open to a move away from Spurs before the end of the month.

Speaking via his X (formerly Twitter) account, he said: “Höjbjerg, still open for a new challenge in winter as he wants to play regularly! 90 minutes vs. Man Utd last weekend but he wants more.  Talks and ideas about a permanent deal or a loan with an obligation to buy. A loan with an option to buy is not an option for Spurs boss Levy.  Juventus, still interested in the 28 year old defensive midfielder. Bayern, not involved at this stage.”

Saudi bid turned rejected by Spurs

Spurs have reportedly rejected an offer for full-back Emerson Royal.

Football London have revealed Saudi Arabia Pro League club Al-Nassr are said to be keen to secure the signing of the former Real Betis and Barcelona star and add him to a squad containing the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.

However, Spurs have rebuffed the approach after allowing Eric Dier and Ashley Phillips to make loan moves to Bayern Munich and Plymouth Argyle respectively.  The decision to reject the offer is also an indication of Emerson’s growing importance to Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou after he put in a number of impressive displays as the former Celtic boss contended with a major injury crisis in recent months.
