Tottenham captain Son Hueng-min says one of the best things that has happened to the club in recent years has been the vibe new manager Ange Postecoglou has brought to the club.

He admits the feeling is good and that has played a part in their winning start to the season ahead of their North London derby game this weekend at the Emirates.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are unbeaten and have picked up 13 points from their first five games as this weekend’s game promises to be a terrific sell.

The Spurs captain is quoted by the Evening Standard: “In the changing room, the club and the stadium, the vibes are really, really positive.

“For example, on Tuesday I had an anti-doping test after training and the guy said, ‘Wow, he changed the vibes!.’

“Because last year they turned up and could see us being down. On Tuesday he came and said the vibe is much better than last year and looks really, really positive. Which is what you’re looking for.”

Arsenal have made giant progress under Mikel Arteta in the last year even though they could only win three of their last nine Premier League matches of last season which meant they lost the league title to Manchester City despite being top for most of the campaign.

Their start to the campaign has been impressive and coupled with the fact that they will be playing at home means they will be slight favourites, but captain Son says they would nonetheless not be too happy to be playing them at this time.

He added: “We have had a week to prepare well and I know what it means for the club, the fans and the players as well. We understand what kind of game it is,” Son said.

“It’s going to be a really difficult game but they won’t want to face us at this time.

“We just have to give it everything we have but we’re looking forward to this game because it’s the right time to play against them. We’ll have a good game.”

Tottenham's start to the season has been one of the best in recent history and fans are excited by the speed with which the group has taken to the demands of their likeable new manager.
