Tottenham need a result to qualify to the next round of the Champions League and they will have to do that without their manager Antonio Conte on the touch line after his sending off against Sporting Lisbon last week.

The Lillywhites made  a return to the Champions League for the first time in three years this season- and have already pocketed £ 15.64 million for their top four finish last time out. They will also bank £9.6 million if they can avoid a defeat to Marseille this evening which ensure qualification to the knock out stage of the Champions League.

Tottenham need the money as they are yet to seal the deal for their stadium right sale and believe they have a squad fit enough to be able to compete against the best 16 teams in Europe at the moemnt. Marseille have not beaten an English team in the Champions League since 2010 and face an uphill task against a Spurs side who are managed by Antonio Conte.

The north London club thought they had secured qualification with a last minute goal from Kane against Sporting but VAR intervened and now they have to get something from the Velodrome. Over the weekend they had to come from a two goals down to win against Bournemouth and have fallen behind in 8 of their last 11 games in all competitions.

The French side have not won in their last four games and threw away a two goal lead against Strasbourg to draw in the end-  but they have some players in their squad including Alexis Sanchez and Matteo Guendouzi, both ex- Arsenal stars, who will be pumped up for the game this evening.
