Tottenham will try to get Kane sign a new deal or reluctantly sell him with just 12th months left on his current contract.

Tottenham have made a new stand on striker Harry Kane with reports that the club is determined to either get him to sign a new deal or sell him summer.

Kane is in the final stage of his contract at Tottenham and is not desperate to leave given he can always walk away in 12 months as a free agent. German giants Bayern Munich have already had two bids for the England captain and three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner rejected.

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been keen to get Kane to come and lead the line for his Bayern side after what has been an underwhelming season.

Manchester United remain the leading team in England to have shown interest in the striker. Erik ten Hag’s side have not hidden their interest, but have made it clear that they are not ready to play games and will only move to the next stage once it becomes clear that Tottenham are looking to sell.

It is understood Spurs owner Joe Lewis has instructed Levy to either sell Kane or renew his contract that expires next June. Kane is not expected to sign a new deal with Tottenham.

LondonWorld understand that Kane is aiming for a wage in the region of £30million-a-year, something Bayern are happy to meet if they can agree on a fee with the north London side.

United have already invested £107m to sign Mason Mount and Andre Onana but they currently lack an out-and-out striker as Anthony Martial is still recovering from a torn hamstring.

While Tottenham have bought James Maddison and a new goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario as they look for new beginnings under Ange Postecoglou.
