Tottenham captain and striker Son Heung-min came through the game against Saudi Arabia unscathed in a boost to the team having initially landed awkwardly in training which got Spurs worried.

The South Korean played a pivotal role as his country beat Saudi Arabia 1-0 in Newcastle to round off the latest international break and Son has now returned to north London to prepare for this weekend’s Premier League game.

The 31-year-old signed off for the international break with a hat-trick and will now hope he continues from where he left off when they host newly promoted Sheffield United this weekend in north London.

Tottenham have had a smooth start to life in the Premier League with their only dropped points in the league being the 2-2 draw with Brentford on opening day. Since then, they have won all their three league games including an impressive home win against Manchester United.

They did crash out of the League Cup to Fulham through the penalty shoot-out but their start to the season has been almost flawless considering they have lost Harry Kane to Bayern Munich and brought in James Maddison from Leicester as their signing.

Yves Bissouma who was signed from Brighton and Hove Albion last summer looks like a fresh signing and has been impressing while young Senegal international international Pape Matar Sarr has looked re-born since Ange Postecoglou took over.

On another injury front, Spurs are making complete progress with midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur looking like he will return to the field sooner than later.
