Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has not entirely ruled himself out of the Tottenham job in the summer but has maintained his immediate focus is to see out the project with the Clarets.
Former Manchester City defender Kompany is in demand after steering Burnley to Premier League promotion at the first time of asking. His brand of football is a huge attraction also, as he’s gone in and immediately implemented a possession-based-attacking brand of football.

He told reporters ahead of the game: “I don’t waste answers on my future.I said it on day one of my job here at Burnley, that one day in anticipation that there might be a question like this so crack on. I am focusing on Reading and the next games.”
Tottenham’s season has been broadly disappointing following exits in the FA Cup and the Champions League, but they are still fifth in the league table with a chance of getting into top four.
The Cup defeat to Championship side Sheffield United was particularly damaging and throwing away a two-goal lead at Southampton ultimately led to former manager Antonio Conte criticising his players and almost questioning the ambition of the board.
