Tottenham will be busy this summer as they look to strengthen the team and fight for league and Europe.

Tottenham Academy product Oliver Skipp wants to leave the club this summer in search of regular football according to a report on Football. London. Skipp reached the magical 100 games for his club this season, but consistent game time has been a massive issue for his development.

The entire last season he was in the squad 31 times, started five games and was substituted 16 times as Spurs finished fifth and secured Europa League football under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Within the Spurs fanbase, Skipp is seen as one of their own and he alongside Pape Sarr was tipped to be the future of Tottenham under Antonio Conte. The Italian manager was full of praise for the duo when they stepped in due to injuries to senior players and performed beyond admiration against AC Milan in the Champions League

Conte said back then: "About the two midfielders, I think that I'm really happy about the performance from Skippy and Pape Sarr.

"Honestly to play in this way in the Champions League and to play in the San Siro in this atmosphere, I think that normally it's tough for important players.

“They played a really good game and I’m really happy. This type of performance makes me more relaxed for the future because we have to consider that we could finish the season with only three midfielders, Pape Sarr, Skippy and Pierre Hojbjerg.”

Tottenham interested in Conor Gallagher

Spurs have already made their first summer signing after agreeing to extend the loan deal of Timo Werner. The German scored twice in 13 appearances for the Lilywhites last summer and is expected to provide competition for other forwards.

Tottenham are also one of the clubs that have asked to be kept in the know of Conor Gallagher’s situation with Chelsea looking to sell a couple of homegrown players to fund their project.

In the case Gallagher arrives, then surely Skipp will have to think about his long-term career in north London.
