It was quite important for Tottenham to return to winning ways after they had lost to Brighton and then drew away to Brentford away, results which threatened to derail their Champions League hopes.

All attention is now turned to the weekend’s blockbuster against title chasing Liverpool at Anfield with Spurs holding big aspirations themselves.
