Ange Postecoglou will take charge of his first game as Tottenham boss this morning when they host fellow Premier League rivals West Ham in Australia in a pre-season.

The Lilywhites have brought in some fresh faces in James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Manor Solomon. The signing of Vicario especially is quite intriguing, especially with the omission of long-serving Hugo Lloris who has stayed back to concentrate on getting a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Aside from the new signings, the style of play and tactics will be interesting to see with tactics deployed and system used with Spurs having to always almost having to play on the counter-attack under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

Tottenham’s success recently has always come when they have played an exciting and entertaining brand of football, and that is expected to return and give fans a glimpse of what the Australian manager is planning for next season.

Another interesting look out will be the role of forward Richarlison who scored only one league goal despite arriving from Tottenham with a massive reputation as being Premier League-proven and Brazil’s number nine.

West Ham have already had games against Perth Glory and Boreham Wood so you’d expect that they would be a little sharper than the Lilywhites but with the quality of Son and Kane in the team, you can’t write them off.

The game also will give Tanguy Ndombele a chance to see if he can revive his career as a Spurs player after being sent out on loan following a fallout with Antonio Conte. The match will take place at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia.
