Ange Postecoglou is preparing his team for the biggest test of his tenure so far, a game against an unbeaten Liverpool side who have the best record in Europe so far.

But had some time to speak about the immiment return of the 22-year-old who he says has had a strong year away from the club and would fit into the structure they have.

The Tottenham boss told reporters ahead of the game against Liverpool this weekend: “Yeah, like you’ve said he’s been a bit unfortunate in that pretty much since the start of pre-season he’s had a couple of injuries that haven’t allowed him to train with the team.

“He had a good year last year away from here and he certainly plays in a position where guys with his attributes can certainly fit into our structure.

“It’ll be good to see Bryan getting up to speed over the next couple of weeks, training with the team and then, obviously with Ivan going down, we’re one down in those wide areas so having him at the club is certainly beneficial.”

Spurs will put their unbeaten start to the seaosn on the line when they host Jurgen Klopp’s men who also hold the longest run without a defeat in Europe at the moment.
