QPR, Millwall and Watford all return this weekend. The Hoops are in Friday night action away at Birmingham City as they look to continue their impressive start to the season.

The Lions and the Hornets take on Huddersfield Town and Wigan Athletic respectively. Here is a look at the latest news regarding the three teams...

QPR

Gillingham boss Neil Harris has told the Kent Online that he wanted to bring back striker Charlie Kelman over the summer but the League Two side couldn’t afford him: “We couldn’t afford him. I like Charlie. Charlie was brilliant for me last season.”

The youngster ended up joining Leyton Orient instead. He has since helped Richie Wellens’ side rise to the top of the table.

Michael Beale has been praised after deciding to stay at the club amid interest from Wolves. Former R’s forward Kevin Gallen has said on West London Sport’s podcast: “I think he’s looked at the bigger picture, which is the reason why I’m thinking he’s stayed. He’s looked at the bigger picture and thought ‘I’ve got a chance of being promoted with QPR, I’ll get a promotion on my CV by taking QPR up’.”

Millwall

Millwall loan man Charlie Cresswell returned to the action over the weekend as a substitute against West Brom amid speculation he could be recalled by parent club Leeds United. The defender has seen his game time dry up over recent times.

Speaking on his podcast, The Athletic’s Phil Hay has said: “Basically Millwall have switched from a back-three to a back-four so they only need two centre-backs in the team.

“But he’s not even in the squad, and if that persists I think it’s highly likely that he’ll be back in January and look to go elsewhere. I don’t see anybody wanting to stick that out. If he’s not playing, that’s the point. There is a recall clause in January. The whole point of him going to Millwall was to get games.”

Watford

Watford are reportedly poised to sign Matheus Martins on loan from Udinese in January. The winger, who is 19-years-old, will join the Italian side from Fluminense before linking up with the Hornets, as reported by UOL.

Domingos Quina, who is currently out on loan from Vicarage Road at Elche, has sent a message regarding his parent club after their win over rivals Luton Town (see below). He had a spell last term at Barnsley.
