'Record-breaking' - Birmingham City transfer could impact recent QPR and Charlton Athletic exits
QPR and Charlton Athletic have made transfer headlines this summer when flogging key first team forward Lyndon Dykes and Alfie May to Birmingham City and those two marquee signings could face serious competition at their new side.
Scotland international Dykes was QPR's top scorer in all competitions last season and had already scored this term, in the 2-2 draw against Sheffield United, but left Loftus Road this week. The 28-year-old made the drop to the third tier despite reported interest from Glasgow giants Rangers and Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.

QPR and Charlton Athletic supporters will no doubt be following the progress of their former stars after such head-turning moves and both Dykes and May could face a fight for game time with reports of another big money move from Birmingham City.
The Blues are believed to be looking at breaking the League One transfer record on Deadline Day to bring Jay Stansfield back to St Andrew's. The Fulham forward spent last season on loan in the Midlands, scoring 12 Championship goals.
After their relegation last season, Birmingham City have already spent around £14 million and broke the division's transfer record in the process by spending £4 million on Christoph Klarer.

Earlier this week, Fulham boss Marco Silva this week said he was 'almost 100% sure' Stansfield would stay at the club and praised his 'quality'.
Birmingham City finished 22nd in the Championship last season, six points behind 18th-placed QPR. This season, Chris Davies' side currently sit fifth in League One on seven points, two points behind third-placed Charlton Athletic.
