QPR boss Marti Cifuentes has provided further details on the spate of injuries sweeping his Championship side ahead of kick-off against AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup.

The second-division strugglers welcome the in-form Premier League side to Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon as Hoops fans hope for a giant-killing and a potential cup run. QPR won't be helped in their bid to topple the top-flight side by missing a number of key stars for the clash following a busy period of festive fixtures.

Writing in his programme notes before the game, Cifuentes said: "This game doesn't come at the best time for us, unfortunately, as we have some players injured. We lost Rayan Kolli in the game against Cardiff, in addition to Jack Colback, Steve Cook, Ilias Chair and Chrissy Willock. It's particularly disappointing with Raya after he made a good impact on the pitch.

"Rayan got an injury playing for Algeria Under-20s, around the time I came to QPR, and he's been working to get back, so the idea was for him to play 45 minutes on Monday against Cardiff. He's a young player who we think has a lot of skills that can help the team and I was very happy to see him set up our goal for Paul Smuth.

"We had better news with Morgan Fox, who got some minutes late in that game. Morgan's worked very hard to get back and we want to get him more match fit because he's a very good professional who can make a valuable contribution to the team."

Bournemouth arrive at Loftus Road with their own injury concerns. Tyler Adams, Lloyd Kelly, Lewis Cook, Milos Kerkez, Ryan Fredericks, Darren Randolph and Hames Traore are all set to miss out on the FA Cup meeting. The Cherries are also without star striker Dominic Solanke, who has 13 goals this season - manager Andoni Iraola hinted at his squad carrying 'small issues' from their meeting with Spurs.
