QPR sign 18-goal talisman, Middlesbrough star and defender in dream starting XI if transfer rumours are true

QPR transfer talk currently centres on the managerial debacle with questions remaining over who will be in charge at Loftus Road for the 2025/26 season.
Marti Cifuentes remains on gardening leave with several well-known candidates linked with taking over at Loftus Road. Even as that debacle unfolds, QPR continue to be linked with transfers for the summer window.

QPR starting XI if transfer rumours come true
Goalkeeper - Paul Nardi
Defenders - Esquerdinha, Liam Morrison, Jamil Siebert, Anfernee Dijksteel
Paul Nardi has enjoyed a decent first season in the Championship having arrived from Gent last summer but could have a new-look back four in front of him. QPR shipped 63 goals this season, five more than last time out.
Stalwart Steve Cook has had his deal extended but, at 34 years old, may have his role in the team faded out. Liam Morrison impressed when fit in his first season and Italian journalist Lorenzo Lepore has named QPR as one of the clubs interested in 23-year-old Fortuna Duesseldorf man Jamil Siebert, who has also been linked with a move to the Serie A.

Hide AdHarrison Ashby has returned to Newcastle United from his loan spell but Esquerdinha, who arrived in February, has impressed in the Development Squad and looks destined for a call up at left-back. Jimmy Dunne has nailed down the right back role but appears likely to leave on a free transfer this summer. Darren Witcoop has named Middlesbrough free agent Anfernee Dijksteel as a potential replacement.
Midfielders - Kieran Morgan, Jonathan Varane, Sam Field
Wingers - Ilias Chair, Kader Dembele
QPR do have options in the centre of the park. 19-year-old Kieran Morgan looks a very exciting prospect and Jonathan Varane got better and better as his first Championship season went on. Sam Field made 35 league appearances last term and captained the side when Cook was absent.
Ilias Chair was another who missed a large portion of the last campaign with injury but his importance was clear when he did return. Kader Dembele had his own fitness problems but boasts the pace to always be a danger. It remains to be seen whether a move to bring Koki Saito to Loftus Road permanently is made.
QPR linked with move for League One striker
Striker - Davis Keillor-Dunn
It was hoped that former FC Lugano striker Zan Celar could be a talisman for QPR this season but the 26-year-old struggled to stay fit, bagging two goals in his 19 Championship outings. A new deal for Michael Frey, who did manage eight goals in the league, has been confirmed.
