It's full concentration on Championship survival still for QPR this season, but there are also issues to be sorted off-the-field with several first team players out of contract this summer.

The Rs have now been linked with a former Premier League player to replace one potential outgoing.

QPR scout ex Premier League winger

QPR are believed to have sent scouts to watch Oxford United winger Josh Murphy in recent weeks ahead of a potential summer swoop with the 29-year-old set to be available on a free transfer.

Murphy's current deal at Oxford United is set to expire this summer and, should The U's miss out on League One promotion, could make the jump to the Championship. The former Norwich City and Cardiff City man has six goals and five assists in 25 league appearances this term, including three goals and four assists in his last five outings.

Murphy, who played in the Premier League for Cardiff and Norwich, is said to have been scouted by the Rs, West Brom, Southampton, West Brom, Sunderland and Hull City according to The Sun. With Chris Willock's QPR deal up at the end of the campaign and questions over Ilias Chair's future, Murphy could be viewed as a shrewd signing with his ability to play on either flank.

Millwall linked with Flemming replacement

Millwall could look to Bournemouth striker Jamal Lowe this summer, should the club fail to hold onto star striker Zian Flemming.

The 25-year-old was the subject of transfer interest from Burnley last summer and recently hinted at a potential move away from The Den to 'play as high as possible'.

Football League World suggest that should that happen, the Lions could turn to Lowe, with his Cherries contract set to expire at the end of the season. The striker has been on loan at Swansea City this season and has bagged eight league goals.

Leeds United loan update emerges

It appears that there has been little progress on the future of Max Wober at Leeds United as the defender's loan to Borussia Mönchengladbach draws to a close.

The 26-year-old has not been part of Daniel Farke's plans and has played regularly in Germany. It is expected Wober won't feature for the Whites next season, but the Gladbach sporting director recently admitted talks with Leeds over a permanent move were not progressing due to a difference in valuation.

Wober is contracted to Leeds until 2027 but is yet to hear from either his permanent or temporary home about what the future holds. “I haven’t heard from Gladbach in a while, they will also be squad planning for next season,” Wober told German outlet BILD. “I’m curious whether anyone from Gladbach will come to me – or from Leeds too.

“Nobody has talked to me yet. Leeds are in the middle of a promotion fight, they have better things to do at the moment than talking to their loan players about their future.”

Leeds are thought to be open to a sale this summer, so long as they can recoup all of the £11 million they spent on Wober last January, but reports suggest Gladbach would not be willing to match that amount.
