Regis Le Bris had teased that the player was close to a return earlier this month and that now looks to be imminent after the striker was spotted in action during an open training session on Tuesday.
The former Sochaux man had been enjoying a breakthrough campaign before injury, bagging a brace in the 4-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday in August.

Watford claimed a 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers last weekend in a close-fought affair thanks to a second half penalty scored by Edo Kayembe.

Hide AdThe midfielder scored past Aynsley Pears with confidence but Hornets boss Tom Cleverley admitted after the match that it had been a slightly nervy affair before the penalty was taken. In quotes carried by the Watford Observer, he explained: "Tom Dele-Bashiru is our first-choice penalty taker but he was out injured today. So today Incey was on penalties, but after he went off, I’d hadn’t crossed the bridge of who would take one.
“I thought Moussa took control of the situation fantastically well by getting the ball and coming to me and asking my advice. I gave my number one, a player who is massively confident for us at the minute.
“My thought was to go for our most confident player in the final third to take the penalty. He’s not a natural penalty taker that person. He didn’t want the penalty. I would never say a player didn’t want responsibility, so I won’t name him. Instead, the number two took it, and that was Edo Kayembe, and he dispatched it very well.”

Hide AdLeeds United face possible loan termination
Leeds United could see loan star Manor Solomon taken off their hands if the player's temporary move to Elland Road doesn't start to become more fruitful.
The Tottenham Hotspur man was seen as a summer coup as he was snapped up by the Whites and claimed an assist on his debut in the 2-0 win over Hull City. However, he has struggled to make an impact since with a four-game hamstring injury disrupting the forward's form.
BBC reporter Jonny Buchan has reported that the loan deal could be terminated to benefit the club and the player. He told the Don't Go To Bed Just Yet podcast: "You wonder with Solomon whether he’s going to be able to get that time, and then you question do you keep him? Or do you send him back?
“Then use that spot, I’m not saying they’re on a limit of their loans, they’re not, but do you use that pot that you’ve used money-wise to get someone else who can maybe have a bigger impact?”
