QPR handed yet another injury blow ahead of Watford and Luton Town

QPR may have been handed yet another injury blow in their 1-1 draw with Norwich City on Sunday afternoon as Marti Cifuentes continues to cope with a depleted first team squad.
The R's bounced back from a disappointing showing at Swansea City on Boxing Day and picked up a point on the road at Carrow Road. An Ante Crnac own goal in first half injury time was cancelled out by Marcelino Nunez with just minutes left to play.

Speaking after the match, Cifuentes told the club's social media channel: "It seems that he felt his calf in the same action. We need to assess and see what happens. I can't give you an accurate answer."

It remains to be seen whether Andersen will face a period on the sidelines but signs of a muscle strain would certainly point to some time away from action. It comes as fixtures roll around fast with QPR hosting Watford on Wednesday before the visit of Luton Town on Monday, January 6.
Cifuentes has already been dealt fresh blows in the loss of defenders Steve Cook and Liam Morrison over the festive period. The Catalan coach said he was 'very sad' to lose the former, who is club captain, in particular.
Cifuentes praises QPR ‘personality’
Reacting to the match against Norwich, Cifuentes acknowledged the current injury situation at the club. He said: "Mixed feelings. We performed at a good level in the first half and the guys showed big personality, as we asked them. It was important for us to bounce back after not the best performance against Swansea and I think the guys did.

That's sometimes part of the game but I think we dropped too early in the second half. They showed big commitment and that's why we are disappointed, it's difficult to be critical with the guys with the way they worked.
"We're disappointed the way we conceded but, to be fair, Norwich deserved the equaliser because they were pushing and creating chances.
I want to give credit to the guys because of the amount of injuries we are having, with the adversities that we are having, with two games in a row in such few days, long trips and an early kick-off. It's not easy. The work ethic the guys are showing encourages me."
