It’s another three points for Millwall, who now sit fifth in the Championship and four points off Leeds United.

Millwall are the team to beat in the Championship right now. Having seen off Burnley at The Den on Sunday, Leeds United were the next to fall victims to the organised Neil Harris side in London.

The Lions have now won their last four and are unbeaten in six as they sit pretty in the play-off places. Harris’ side claimed a 1-0 win over promotion-chasing Leeds United, the fourth time in a row his side have won by that scoreline.

The way Harris has his Millwall side at the moment is hugely impressive and The Den is roaring. On Wednesday night, it was Japhet Tanganga who was the difference-maker having poked home a tidy finish following a set play in the first half.

The visitors worked hard to find their way back into the game but posed little threat to the Millwall clean sheet. Here’s how the Millwall players rated.

Called into action a few times but Millwall mostly limited Leeds United to shots from distance, which Jensen was more than at ease with.

RB - Ryan Leonard, 8

Comfortable against a pacey Leeds United forward. Looked in control of that flank all night.

CB - Jake Cooper, 9

Another monumental performance from the centre-back as he marshalled defence. A brilliant danger from set plays - got his head on the first free kick and first corner before assisting Tanganga with a ball across the box in a similar fashion.

CB - Japhet Tanganga, 10

A sublime shift. So up for it tonight, confident and decisive in everything he did. The goal topped off a great performance with a clever finish that any striker would be proud of.

LB - Danny McNamara, 8

Set Duncan Watmore through a couple times early on. A very competent showing on the opposite side of defence to usual.

CDM - George Saville, 8

Got dragged around by some nice Leeds United moves at times but more than happy to put in the hard yards.

CDM - Ryan Wintle 7

Filled in nicely for Casper De Norre. Harris is lucky to have such strength in depth in this Millwall squad.

RW - Romain Esse, 7

Didn’t see much of the ball but made Leeds United sweat when he did. Particularly impressing when haring through the box in the 20th minute, almost drawing a penalty.

CAM - George Honeyman, 8

A trademark bulldoggish performance. Not afforded much possession but will nonetheless haunt the Leeds United players in their dreams tonight.

LW - Duncan Watmore, 7

Not given lots of opportunities to get involved but set the pace when he won the ball high early up and helped out diligently at the back.

ST - Macaulay Langstaff, 7

Full of running as usual and got stuck in with the dirty work. He’s not brought goals to the Lions yet but he offers so much with what he does off the ball.

SUB - Casper De Norre, 8

Came on full of energy. One moment of tracking back to win the ball back particularly impressive and some neat work in the final 1/3.

SUB - Josh Coburn, 9

Brought exactly what Millwall needed to see the game through. Broke well with the ball at his feet and won some vital free-kicks to run down the clock.

SUB - Femi Azeez, 7

Came on to see the game out and did just that. Not much chance to show his attacking abilities but diligent defensively.

SUB - Dan Hutchinson, N/A

Came on in injury time.
