But they are not allowed to rotate significantly in the Premier League, even if they want to.
Discussions have been held in the past about potentially scrapping the League Cup, but apart from those involved in Europe, there isn’t much call for it to be scrapped.

According to The Times, top flight clubs will discuss scrapping FA Cup replays for the third and fourth rounds in an upcoming meeting.
We saw replays scrapped over the covid period, but Premier League clubs could seek to scrap them for good in a bid to reduce the amount of football they currently have to play.
Though, the FA would still need to approve those decisions, and it’s likely lower clubs will oppose given replays can be a big source of income.

Alternatively, those clubs could enter an under-21s squad instead. Those plans will be discussed at the shareholders’ meeting on Wednesday.
Though, the FA and EFL would still have to approve any changes to the FA Cup and League Cup.
