Cleverley blasts Watford

Tom Cleverley has called out his Watford side ahead of their clash with QPR, left frustrated by their performance against strugglers Cardiff City on Sunday, with the Hornets losing ta home. He said, as per the Observer: “Look at the way we started the game again. One thing you don’t want to do against a team fighting for their lives is give them hope to cling onto, and allow them to try and break the game up.

“Along with that we made far too many unforced errors, which we didn’t do against Portsmouth. It meant we couldn’t accumulate pressure and we let them off the hook too many times with sloppiness and lack of concentration. It was a defeat we have to take on the chin and admit that, to a man, we weren’t good enough.”

Livermore left in the dark

Millwall boss David Livermore did not get any inside track on the appointment of Alex Neil, admitting on Sunday that he was still unaware of the situation despite remaining as part of the new boss’s coaching staff.

“I’m probably as aware as you guys are,” Livermore said on Sunday. “I don’t think it’s a secret is it? But like I say, that’s all going on behind the scenes. It’s really kind of out of my control. It wasn’t in my train of thought at all today, because my focus is the game and as I say there there’ll be an announcement tomorrow.”

Wooh links

Leeds United are said to be interested in a move for Rennes star Christopher Wooh. Jeunes Footeux report that the Whites have submitted an enquiry amid talk Rennes could offload Wooh in January.

The 23-year-old defender has made 43 league appearances for Rennes, while he is a 13-time Cameroon international. Whether or not Wooh would be a starter at Elland Road is unclear, but he would certainly add competition at the centre-back spot, bringing top-flight experience with him.
