Alex Neil expects Calum Scanlon back int he near future with the Liverpool loanee having only made one league appearance for the club since arriving in the summer.
“My understanding is that Calum will be back probably in the next week,” Neil said, as reported by South London News. “I haven’t met Calum, he’s doing his rehab at Liverpool. Those are just conversations I’ve had loosely behind the scenes, but we do believe that he’ll be back soon. He’s making progress.”
QPR boss on landing Edwards
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes is delighted to have Southampton man Ronnie Edwards on loan until the end of the season. “Credit to the club – we did a good job in terms of getting someone in very soon,” said Cifuentes. “The picture changed, unfortunately, with the injury first of Cook and then Liam Morrison.
“Both of them will be some weeks out and we cannot afford to have a situation like (the 3-0 defeat) at Swansea, where we were too short in that position.” He Hoops boss added: “He’s a very good player in that position and will help us a lot. He’s hungry to get minutes, to show his level, and hopefully he will be a very good player for us.”

Leeds United are said to be set to miss out on a move for Christopher Wooh, who is headed elsewhere. According to Lebledparle Sport, the Rennes star will now be heading to Germany to join Stuttgart despite links with Leeds.
It’s claimed the deal is ‘done’ and that Wooh’s future will indeed be in Germany. Leeds boss Farke said of his side’s transfer plans recently: “Our recruitment is prepared for every scenario. We’re just being reactive in the market because we can’t afford to have four or five players in every position.”
