The former Queens Park Rangers man struggled for game time in Patrick Vieira’s last days at the club- but hit the ground running the moment Hodgson returned, he has 10 goals and three assists in 38 games for the Eagles across all competition.

Eze’s brace against Bournemouth last weekend made him the club’s highest scorer in the league and there are reports that he would be in the England team for the next international games.

John Barnes who has been a big fan of the midfielder says he’s exactly what Liverpool needs and urged Klopp to go all out for him.

He told MyBettingSites: “ He’s a great player that could fit into any of the top teams in the country. I would absolutely love him at Liverpool. Absolutely. Whether Liverpool are interested is another thing but he would fit into the team as one of the three midfield players, as a number ten or as a wide forward. He’s very intelligent and very good on the ball. I think he’s been Crystal Palace’s best player.”
