The latest international break will have a huge impact on Premier League clubs, with players in red list countries potentially having to quarantine when they return.

This means that teams could be without key players for the next round of games.

International matches have been affected by Premier League players already.

The game between Brazil and Argentina was abandoned due to the involvement of Premier League quartet Giovanni Lo Celso, Emi Martinez, Emi Buendia and Cristian Romero.

Brazilian health officials entered the pitch to stop play and ordered their deportation on grounds of failing to quarantine.

The players were initially blocked from traveling to South America by their clubs, as both Brazil and Argentina are on the red list of countries in the UK, meaning they would have to quarantine for 10 days on their return.
