Fulham are reportedly yet to receive any approach from Rangers for Josh Onomah. The midfielder has slipped down the pecking order at Craven Cottage and has been linked with a move to Ibrox in this January transfer window.

However, Football Scotland claim there has been ‘no contact’ from Michael Beale’s side this month. He remains with his current club for now with his future continuing to hang in the balance.

Onomah, 25, struggles for game time at Fulham these days and has made just two Premier League appearances so far this term. He is out of contract at the end of this season but the club do hold an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months which eradicates the risk of losing him for free this summer.

He nearly left in the last window as West Brom looked to sign him under their former boss Steve Bruce but a deal fell through in the end, as reported by The Athletic. Football Insider have since claimed Rangers are keen as they search for reinforcements.

Onomah started out at Tottenham Hotspur and rose up through their youth ranks before playing 32 times for their first-team. He also had loan spells away at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday before leaving permanently for Fulham in 2019. His time with the Whites hasn’t gone to plan over recent campaigns and although a switch up to Glasgow has been touted, the Gers haven’t apparently made their move yet which could open the door for other clubs.
