Fulham are reportedly lining up a move for Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie. The Ivory Coast international is being linked with a switch to Craven Cottage ahead of the January transfer window.

According to Fichajes, Marco Silva’s side are ‘interested’ in luring him to the Premier League this winter. The report adds that they would be ‘willing’ to fork out a fee of €22million for his services.

Barcelona only signed Kessie over the summer from AC Milan but he has struggled to get into their team under Xavi and despite being a four-year deal with the La Liga outfit, he may well move on this winter. He has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season, with only seven of those coming in the league.

Fulham could see the 25-year-old as someone to add more quality and depth into their options in the middle of the park ahead of the second-half of the campaign. The Cottagers were dealt a blow in their last game before the World Cup after losing 2-1 at home to Manchester United.

Kessie made his name at Atalanta and scored seven goals in 31 games for the Serie A club before landing a move to AC Milan. He then spent six years with the latter before his switch to Spain but is facing an uncertain future at the moment.
