Fulham remain in talks with Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The Cottagers have identified the Germany international as their number one for next season.

Marco Silva’s side continue to pursue a deal to lure the stopper to Craven Cottage, as detailed in a report by the Daily Mail.

Leno, 30, has lost his place as the Gunners’ first-choice to Aaron Ramsdale and they have signed Matt Turner this summer as well meaning he has slipped further down the pecking order.

Fulham goalkeeping situation

Fulham are in the hunt for a new ‘keeper, despite having Marek Rodak and Paulo Gazzaniga as their current options.

Lazio’s Thomas Strakosha has been linked but it appears the club’s priority is Leno.

The former Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen man made the switch over to England back in 2018 and has since made 125 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions.

However, he only played eight games in the last campaign, with four coming in the Premier League.

Leno’s contract at the Emirates Stadium expires next summer so they risk losing him for free unless they cash in on him either now or in January.

Diop wanted

Fulham are also pushing to sign defender Issa Diop from West Ham United, as reported by the Daily Mail.

They have had two bids rejected so far and will need to cough up more money if they are to strike a deal with the Hammers.

Silva’s side have also been linked with Lille midfielder Yusuf Yazici in a report by The Sun. He spent time on loan in the Russian Premier League last year with CSKA Moscow.
