Fulham are reportedly interested in Torino defender Koffi Djidji. The Cottagers are being linked with a new name ahead of the January transfer window.

According to Sport Mediaset (via Sport Witness), the centre-back has emerged on the radar of Marco Silva’s side. However, Championship side Bristol City and Belgian giants Anderlecht have also been mentioned as potential suitors.

Djidji, 29, has made 13 appearances in all competitions so far this season and has chipped in with a single goal from the back. However, his contract is up at the end of the campaign and he is due to become a free agent in late June 2023.

Fulham may see him as a useful cut-price addition this winter and someone who would add more competition and depth to their defensive department. It would be hard to see him starting ahead of the likes of Tim Ream, Issa Diop and Tosin Adarabioyo though.

Djidji made his name at Nantes and broke into their first-team as a youngster before going on to play 111 games for the Ligue 1 outfit before heading to Italy in 2018. Torino came calling for him and he has since featured 77 times for the Serie A club.

He was loaned out to Crotone last term to get some more game time but has since forced his way back into the side at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. His future is up in the air now though due to his uncertain contract situation and other teams appear to be taking notice of that, including the Cottagers.
