Fulham are being linked with a winter swoop for Sao Paulo ace Pablo Maia. The midfielder has emerged as a potential target ahead of the January transfer window.

According to a report by UOL, the Cottagers are ‘interested’ in luring him to England. He is only 20-years-old but is already a first-team regular.

Fulham could see Maia as a potential long-term option for them in the middle of the park. The next window gives Marco Silva’s side an opportunity to bolster their ranks ahead of the second-half of the season.

They have adapted well to life back in the Premier League following their Championship title win and are currently 9th in the table. The London club beat Aston Villa 3-0 last night.

Maia is being reported as a possible target and he has made 56 appearances for Sao Paulo so far in his career, 26 of which have come in 2022, and he has chipped in with two goals and a single assist. The Brazilian had spells at Independente de Limeira and Portuguesa Santista before moving to the Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo back in 2017.

He hasn’t looked back since then and his current team could face a battle to keep hold of him in the near future. Fulham have been mentioned as a potential destination as they keep an eye on January already.
