Latest news on the transfer front regarding Fulham emerges

Fulham defender Kevin Mbabu is reportedly close to joining Servette on loan. The right-back has fallen out of favour at Craven Cottage and is heading back to his native Switzerland on a temporary basis.

The Athletic claim he was wanted by Espanyol, AS Monza and some unnamed Turkish clubs in the January transfer window. However, an exit failed to materialise and he ended up staying at Craven Cottage beyond the deadline.

Fulham landed the former Newcastle United man last summer from Wolfsburg following their promotion to the Premier League but he has struggled for game time this term. He has made just six appearances in all competitions in this campaign, mainly due to the form of Kenny Tete in his position.

Marco Silva’s side completed a deadline day loan deal to land Cedric Soares from Arsenal and that move has pushed Mbabu even further down the pecking order. A loan switch away now will enable him to get some more opportunities under his belt.

He started his career at Servette and is now poised to had back to the Geneva-based outfit. They finished 6th in the Swiss Super League last season and are currently the home to former Arsenal left-back Gael Clichy.
