When Marc Guehi is expected to play for Crystal Palace again after undergoing surgery

Crystal Palace defender has had to take surgery on his knee after recent discomfort.

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has been ruled out of action for up to two months after undergoing surgery to correct a hyper-extended knee injury in the 4-1 defeat against Brighton at the start of February.

Earlier reports had suggested that he would be out for a couple of weeks, but LondonWorld has been told the defender took surgery this week and will now miss the game against Tottenham this weekend amongst others.

He'll also miss England's international friendlies against Brazil and Belgium next month having established himself as a regular member of Gareth Southgate's squad recently.

Former Chelsea defender Guehi joins Michael Olise as key members of the Eagles squad who will miss new manager Oliver Glasner's first few games as Palace boss. But midfielder Eberechi Eze is likely to boost the team by returning in time to be involved this weekend in north London.

The south London club stormed to a 3-0 win against 10-man Burnley on Monday night and will now hope to further boost their quest to finish in mid-table by upsetting Tottenham in north London this weekend.

Spurs themselves will be looking for a response after a 2-1 defeat to Wolves that has left them five points behind Aston Villa in fourth albeit they have a game in hand.
