Fresh Eberechi Eze injury update as Crystal Palace handed potential boost ahead of Tottenham

Crystal Palace could be handed a massive injury boost ahead of Tottenham this weekend.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is set to receive a massive boost with midfielder Eberechi getting closer to returning to the match-day squad ahead of their game against Tottenham this weekend.

The England midfielder missed the match against Burnley last weekend after picking up an injury against Sheffield United last month. He also missed the game against Chelsea but could hand his new boss further options in midfield this weekend.

Fellow key figure March Guehi who also injured his knee against Brighton last month is however expected to still miss the visit to Spurs as well as Micheal Olise. Palace responded well to their manager with a 3-0 win over Vincent Kompany’s side and will now look to climb the league table when they travel to north London.

The Oliver Glasner era

New Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner praised the Selhurst Park atmosphere but warned his team to stay humble after they scored three second-half goals to beat 10-man Burnley on Monday night.

The Austrian manager is expected to introduce an attacking brand of football after replacing veteran manager Roy Hodgson, who resigned from his role in a dignified way.

Glasner had only had three training sessions before the meeting with the Clarets last week but he's now had a full week of training and fans will get the chance to see what he's all about in an exciting era for the Eagles fanbase.

Palace have 28 points from 26 league games but more importantly eight points above the drop as the pressure eases on a potential relegation fight.
