The worst signings Crystal Palace have ever made including ex-Tottenham and Schalke stars

Crystal Palace have made some nightmare signings in the past, will this summer be any different?

The club have gotten better at identifying talents and bringing in players who fit the profile of manager Patrick Vieira, and they more often than not get it right.

Last summer, the signing of Conor Gallagher on loan from Chelsea got eight goals and three assists, while the investment in Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen looks to have been gold, with both settling in well.

Patrick Vieira has inherited a team full of internationals and the fan base have enjoyed a really special season, with a respectable finish in the league and a visit to Wembley.

Now the fans are itching for signings that will build momentum ahead of next season, and hopefully add on to the good work that was done last season.

Steve Parish has adopted a much more aggressive yet sensible recruitment system, with huge investment in the academy training complex.

The idea behind that is to make sure that Crystal Palace will reclaim the enviable status as the best hotbed of talent in London.

Things look to be shining at Selhurst at the moment, so LondonWorld takes you down memory lane by bringing you some of the signings that were made with so much hope and expectation but ended up yielding very little.
