Crystal Palace and Premier League fans were quick to say the same thing when Wilfried Zaha enjoyed time away from training to meet New York star Post Malone.

The Grammy Award nominee visited London over the weekend to play two headline shows to 40,000 people at the prestigious O2 Arena in London on his Twelve Carat Tour across Europe.

Eagles winger Zaha went one better than catching the rapper in concert and shared a photo on Instagram hanging out with the 'Sunflower' star.

Post Malone throws his arm around Zaha as the two posed for a picture which the footballer captioned 'Mr white iverson' as a nod to one of Malone's tracks.

Over 65,000 people liked the photo and some commented to label it the "most random link up" between the two.

Many more dropped by the comments section to bring back a viral debate from last month as to the identity of the mysterious masked Premier League rapper Dide.

The artist released a debut track on YouTube titled 'Thrill' on April 14. In the single, Dide muses on life in the limelight and the highs and lows of being a Premier League star.

The track led to a wild goose chase from Premier League fans who tried to identify the star behind the mask with names including Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah and Everton man Alex Iwobi.

Another name thrown into the mix was that of Wilfried Zaha, and some fans called for a collaboration between Dide and Post Malone after the Palace star shared the photo.

Fans gossiped saying that "Dide featuring Post Malone is incoming" and "I think that Wilfried is Dide".

Another added: "Here we go!! Officially confirmed Zaha is Dide."

Meanwhile, others wanted to presume that Post Malone was a Crystal Palace fan given the friendly link-up between the two.

The identity of Dide remains a mystery, with some previously guessing that there was no Premier League star behind the mask and that the artist's launch was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
