Crystal Palace winger Malcolm Ebiowei is reportedly poised to join Hull City instead of QPR. The attacker is set to head out the exit door to the Championship on a temporary basis.

As detailed in a report by The Sun, the Tigers are ‘set to see off’ interest from the Hoops to win the race for his signature. The youngster has been linked with a few clubs this winter, including Swansea City as well.

Ebiowei, 19, knows Hull boss Liam Rosenior from their time at Derby County together last season. The England youth international left the Rams for Crystal Palace following their relegation to League One.

He penned a bumper five-year contract at Selhurst Park and is being tipped for a bright future in the game with the South London outfit. However, he is being loaned out now to get some more experience under his belt to boost his development.

The former Chelsea, Arsenal and Rangers academy prospect has made five appearances for the Eagles so far this term, three of which have come in the Premier League, and has been a regular on the bench for Patrick Viera’s side. However, he was left out of the squad in the FA Cup defeat to Southampton yesterday.

A loan switch to the MKM Stadium beckons now and QPR will have to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements with a move up to East Yorkshire now his most likely destination. Hull are currently 16th in the table but are only six points off the play-offs after winning their last two league outings.
