Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Aston Villa’s Danny Ings and Marseille’s Bamba Dieng. The Eagles are being credited with an interest in the two forwards with the January transfer window now open.

According to a report by The Sun, Patrick Viera wants to land Ings to bolster his attacking options ahead of the second-half of the season. Everton are also said to be in the frame to land the ex-Liverpool man.

90min claim Crystal Palace are ‘keeping tabs’ on Dieng in Ligue 1. However, there appears to be plenty of competition for his signature with Leeds United, West Ham, Leicester City and Everton also linked.

Ings, 30, has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Villa so far this season and has scored seven goals. He has already matched his tally from the whole of the last campaign but hasn’t started under Unai Emery since returning from the World Cup break.

He is a proven goal scorer in the top flight and would be a shrewd addition for Palace if they were able to lure him to Selhurst Park this month. His contract at Villa Park expires in June 2024.

Dieng is another option that Viera could explore. He has chipped in with 10 goals in 48 games for Marseille so far to date and was in Qatar last month with the Senegal squad. The 22-year-old may have a bright future ahead of him in the game and the fact other clubs are targeting him suggests he is one who teams don’t want to miss out on.
