The summer transfer window officially opens soon (June 10), and Crystal Palace will be looking to expand their roster ahead of the 2022-2023 season.

Palace manager Patrick Vieira had a proactive start to transfers, nearing completion of the signing of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on a free transfer.

The Eagles enjoyed a positive first season under the Frenchman, reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup and finishing 12th in the League.

Vieira will be adamant that his side continues their progression. Here is the latest Crystal Palace transfer news and rumours.

Butland to leave?

It seems Palace backup goalkeeper Jack Butland will leave once there is confirmation of the club's signing of Sam Johnstone.

Butland currently is the understudy for Vicente Guaita and has only made 17 appearances for the club since his arrival in 2020.

Several clubs are interested in the former England international, including newly-promoted Bournemouth and Scottish side Rangers.

If Rangers legend Allan McGregor leaves the club, the Glasgow side will make a move for Butland.

Palace linked to O’Brien

The Eagles have joined fellow Premier League rivals Leeds United, Southampton and Fulham in the race for Huddersfield midfielder Lewis O’Brien, according to TeamTalk.

The 23-year-old was part of the side that narrowly missed out on promotion to the English top-flight, playing an integral role throughout the season.

Palace now have a void left by Conor Gallagher and at £10m, O’Brien may be the player to fill it. The player is still young at 23 but holds a vast amount of experience already.

Silva targets Milivojevic

Fulham boss Marco Silva wants to make Crystal Palace captain his first signing of the summer transfer window after being promoted to the Premier League.

Fulham and Palace rarely conduct business together so it will be fascinating to see if the two parties can reach a deal.

The Eagles captain is entering the last year of his contract and Silva is keen to add his vast amount of experience to his squad.

The player arrived at Selhurst Park in 2017 but last season his appearances dried up under new boss Vieira.
