Former Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is reportedly closing in on a move to a new club.

The 61-year-old is poised to get back into the dugout.

His last managerial stint came in Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia earlier this year and he has since been weighing up his next move.

As per a report by Sport FM, he is set to put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with Greek club Aris.

Crystal Palace days

Pardew spent four years as a player with Crystal Palace and made 168 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with 12 goals.

He hung up his boots in 1996 and went on to manage Reading, West Ham United, Charlton Athletic, Southampton and Newcastle United before returning to Selhurst Park.

The Londoner oversaw 87 games in charge of the Eagles and won 40.2% of games in charge before he was sacked in December 2016.

Pardew has since had spells at West Bromwich Albion, ADO Den Haag and Sofia but is now on his way to Greece for a new challenge.

Aris came 3rd in the Super League last season and are now the home to former Premier League players Andre Gray and Moses Odubajo.

Other news

In other Crystal Palace news, they have been linked with a move for Aberdeen youngster Lewis Pirie.

The attacking midfielder, who is a Scotland youth International, is also said to be on the radar of fellow top flight teams Leeds United and Fulham, as per a report by the Daily Record.
