According to reports in Greece, the FA are looking at Germany, Italy and France as alternatives if the offer to Palace falls through, but their first choice is Selhurst Park.

The stadium has a reputation as one of the best grounds in the Premier League and is situated at the heart of south London with easy access for match-going fans by trains or buses.

This year’s Greek Cup final is currently set to be played around the 20th and 21st May with the expectations that the Premier League season would be over, paving the way for the Eagles to give out their facility for the Cup final.

PAOK Salonika, AEK Athens, Olympiacos and Lamia are currently in the last four of the competition with the last two hoping to be in the final at Selhurst if everything is firmed up by the summer.

AEK Athens have taken a thumping 3-0 win over Olympiacos in the first leg of their semi-final game with PAOK Salonika and Lamia yet to play.

South London has always prided itself as the hot bed of talents and home of football in London, with players like Wilfried Zaha, Callum Hudson Odoi and Jadon Sancho all from that side of the City.

It’s been a challenging season for the Eagles so far with only one win in their last nine games in all competitions.
