Bournemouth are reportedly poised to win the race for in-demand Dango Ouattara from FC Lorient. A host of Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace and West Ham, have been linked with the winger in this January transfer window.

According to reporter Mark McAdam on Twitter (see tweet below), the Cherries have ‘agreed’ a deal to land him with the free believed to be around £20million. The player will travel to England to ‘finalise’ the transfer.

90min claimed Crystal Palace were keen on him along with Everton and Leicester City. West Ham were also said to be ‘considering’ a swoop this winter, as per the Daily Mail, but the London pair are now set to miss out.

Ouattara, 20, is being tipped for a bright future in the game. He started his career in his native Burkina Faso with Majestic FC before landing a move to France with Lorient in 2020.

The attacker initially played for the B team of the Ligue 1 outfit before breaking into their first-team after 12 months. He has since become one of their most prized assets and has made 44 appearances in all competitions to date, chipping in with seven goals and eight assists.

Crystal Palace and West Ham will have to look elsewhere for potential attacking reinforcements over the next couple of weeks before the window shuts with Bournemouth leading this pursuit. They both lost 1-0 over the weekend to Chelsea and Wolves respectively.
