The transfer window has been rather manic so far - with Aston Villa adding Phillipe Coutinho and Newcastle signing Kieran Trippier.

With the window deadline fast approaching, it is thought that Patrick Vieira is not desperate to add to his Crystal Palace side, but if the right player becomes available, the funds are there to spend.

Palace managed to secure many of their main targets in the summer.

There were fears they would go down amid a thin squad after a mini decimation, with players such as Gary Cahill and Andros Townsend leaving.

The south London club had a great window, signing Michael Olise, Marc Guehi, Joachim Andersen, Odsonne Edouard, Will Hughes and signed Conor Gallagher on loan from Chelsea.

Amid all that, they kept their prized possession in Wilfred Zaha, and also saw the emergence of Tyrick Mitchell to replace Patrick Van Aanholt, who left on a free, securing a position the needed replacing without spending a penny.

Who do Crystal Palace want to sign?

As mentioned, Palace are expected to have a quiet end to the window, but have still expressed interest in Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.

Christian Benteke is thought to still be a target for Burnley, as they lost Chris Wood to fellow relegation candidates Newcastle.

Due to this, Palace have kept tabs on Nketiah.

The all-time leading goalscorer for the England U21’s has struggled to cement a consistent place in Mikel Arteta’s side, and in the unlikely scenario that Benteke does leave, Palace may pounce.

Other names such as Donny Van De Beek and Aaron Ramsey were both floated around and linked with Palace, but any deals for either player were thought to be purely rumours.

Van De Beek has been shunned at Manchester United, whilst Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed Ramsey will leave.

The club have Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur, Gallagher, Cheikhou Kouyate, Hughes, Jeffrey Schlupp and Jairo Riedewald who all play in the middle, so there’s no need to go out and sign a midfielder.

Whilst other managers may be stressing as we enter the final days of the window, Vieira may be all tucked up in bed come 11pm next Monday.
