Crystal Palace ended their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United. The London club finished 12th, showing their impressive improvements during Patrick Vieira’s first year in charge.

Palace’s consistent form led to three of their players being called up to the England senior squad for the first time. Vieira will look to build on this season with some smart recruitment to try and break into the top half of the league.

Here, we take a look at the latest rumours around Palace ahead of next season.

Kelly to leave

Martin Kelly will leave the club after eight years at the Premier League club, Steve Parish has confirmed.

The former Liverpool defender made 148 appearances for Palace and was one of the teams’ longest serving players.

Club chairman Steve Parish said: “Martin has shown a unique level of dedication while serving Crystal Palace. From his earlier seasons with us that established the club in the Premier League to his role as a senior, leading member of the squad, he has given no less than his all to this club in whatever position he was asked to play.”

Palace target Sarr

Palace will battle it out with Everton, Newcastle, and Liverpool for championship bound Watford winger, according to James Footeux.

Sarr has had a challenging season at Watford and struggled to find form due to an injury plagued season.

Liverpool have been linked to the Senegalese forward for a few transfer windows now, but Palace are looking to surpass them in the race for his signature.

Gallagher’s farewell message

Conor Gallagher has released an emotional message to Palace fans as the 22-year-old returns to his parent club Chelsea.

Gallagher said: “There’s been ups and downs, but I’ve developed a lot as a player and as a person. I can’t thank the Palace fans enough and obviously the players at Palace. It’s just been brilliant, and I’ve just felt at home since the very first day.”

The midfielder netted eight times for the club and his impressive form earned him a call-up from Gareth Southgate to the senior setup.

Vieira will now look to find a replacement for Gallagher this summer.
