It was Wilfried Zaha again who proved the difference, with the former Manchester United man finishing off smartly for what would be the only goal of the game in the first half.
Manchester United had their incoming manager Erik ten Hag in the stands, but that did little to improve performance on the pitch and in the end, Palace deserved the three points they got.
It’s been a largely impressive season under Patrick Vieira and the 1-0 win over Manchester United meant they kept five straight clean sheets at home for the first time since 1992.
In Vieira’s first season, Palace have bettered the 14th place finish they had under Roy Hodgson, the man he took over from, and they got a positive goal difference for the first time since the inception of the Premier League.
Selhurst Park was vibrant but equally appreciative of the players, who have played above themselves, and even took them to a memorable trip to Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
In what was largely a very charged atmosphere at Selhurst Park on the final day, LondonWorld brings you some of the pictures from the impressive home win.
