Crystal Palace will reportedly reignite their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher this month. The England international was a hit on loan at Selhurst Park last season.

According to The Sun, the Eagles will make ‘one final bid’ to try and bring him back to South London. He has made 16 appearances for the Blues so far this term and has scored once.

Crystal Palace are yet to sign anyone this month as they carefully weigh up their options. Patrick Viera’s side were also very patient with their recruitment last summer.

They have also been linked with Manchester United wing-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Aston Villa striker Danny Ings this winter. However, The Sun claims their chances of bringing back Wan-Bissaka have been dealt a blow by his recent emergence back into Erik ten Hag’s side, whilst Ings is poised to stay at Villa Park until the end of this season.

Viera could do with one or two additions over the next couple of weeks to bring in some reinforcements ahead of the second-half of the campaign. Gallagher would be ideal as he is young, knows the club and has proven his quality in the past but time will tell whether they can persuade Chelsea to cash in.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace’s young defender Daniel Quick has joined Billericay Town on loan after being recalled from Dorking Wanderers. Meanwhile, young attacker John-Kymani Gordon scored on his debut for Carlisle United this weekend in their 2-0 win over Newport County.
