Palace came away with a comfortable 1-0 win and it could have been more with the South London side creating multiple chances and striker Odsonne Edouard hitting the post.

The win also means Palace have equalled their points tally from last season and will now challenge their all time points of 49 with three games of the season still left to play.

Only Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have avoided more defeats at home than Palace with only four losses at Selhurst for Patrick Vieira’s men.

But with games against struggling Everton, Villa and Manchester United still to come, the loss of Marc Guehi could prove game changing as he has been a pillar at the heart of defence since the start of the season.

Wilfried Zaha enjoying is best goal scoring season

Wilfried Zaha scored his 13 league goals of the season and certainly looks like a man enjoying his game at the moment.

The Ivorian has joined Harry Kane on the same number of goals for the season and with three games to go, it’s possible he will be able to add to his tally.

At the start of the season, not many had thought he would turn things around but he’s come from the Africa Cup of Nations and completely reminded everyone why he is considered the best player to have ever played for the club.

Watford woes continue to relegation

Roy Hodgson is the third manager to take charge of Watford this season and even though there had been slight improvement when he took over in performances, they just did not have enough to challenge the drop.

This is the club’s second relegation in the last three seasons and they were pretty solid at staying up before their first drop so they will have to get back to the drawing board and see what they can do to get back as soon as they can.

Another key issue will be how to keep hold of important players like Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaila Sarr who are all being linked to moves away from the club.
