Crystal Palace are being linked with summer moves for Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres and Hull City defender Alfie Taylor. The Eagles will be keeping one eye on the next transfer window now as they plot potential targets.

According to a report by Football Insider, they are ‘monitoring’ Gyokeres’ situation after another impressive year from him in the second tier. He has scored 23 goals in all competitions and has already beaten his tally of 18 from last term.

However, Crystal Palace will have to see off plenty of competition from other clubs if they are to lure him to Selhurst Park. The report also suggests Wolves, Leeds United and Fulham are keen on landing him.

Gyokeres spent four years on the books at Brighton and Hove Albion before his move to Mark Robins’ side and also had loan spells at St Pauli and Coventry City to gain experience. He has helped his current club rise into the play-offs recently.

The Eagles are also believed to be keeping tabs on Taylor at Hull. According to TEAMtalk, the London club are ‘tracking’ the 19-year-old’s progress at the MKM Stadium along with Leeds and Leicester City.

He has risen up through the academy of the Tigers and has been a key player for their Under-23s. The centre-back is yet to make a senior appearance under Liam Rosenior but has been on the bench for the senior team.

Crystal Palace could see the teenager as one for the future. Hull have produced talents such as Brentford’s Keane Lewis-Potter and the highly-rated Jacob Greaves over recent times.
