Patrick Viera has made it clear that he wants to bring in some more players.

More on Richards

Richards has been on the books at Bayern Munich since 2018 and was initially a key player for their B team in the third tier in Germany.

He then progressed into their first-team set-up and has played 10 times for their senior team over the past few years.

The centre-back has spent the past year-and-a-half out on loan at fellow Bundesliga club Hoffenheim to get some more experience under his belt.

Richards has returned to his parent club this summer but is now on his way out permanently.

Prior to his switch to the Allianz Arena, he rose up through the ranks of MLS club FC Dallas.

He will give Crystal Palace more competition and depth in defence and will be one for the future for the London club.
