Crystal Palace are reportedly poised to miss out on the signing of striker Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City. Bournemouth are now in the driving seat for his signature.

According to Sky Sports (live transfer blog, 26.01.23, 14.01), the player is heading to Dorset for a medical after the two clubs agreed a few for his siganture. The price tag is believed to be in the region of £9m plus add-ons and personal terms are not expected to be a problem.

Crystal Palace have been keen on luring the attacker to Selhurst Park before the end of the transfer window and have identified him as someone to bolster their option up top. However, the Eagles will now have to look elsewhere for potential reinforcements with the deadline next week.

Semenyo, 23, has also been on Southampton’s radar this winter after catching the eye in the Championship. He has scored eight goals in all competitions so far this term and was at the World Cup in Qatar with Ghana national team.

In other Crystal Palace news, youngster Ryan Bartley has joined Eastbourne Borough on loan. The 19-year-old will spend the rest of this season in the National League South to get some experience.
