Crystal Palace vs Millwall early FA Cup injury news with 7 out and 2 doubts
Crystal Palace welcome Millwall for an FA Cup fifth-round tie at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace will be heading into the weekend feeling as positive as any team in English football, as they have won four of their last five games in all competitions.
They beat Aston Villa 4-1 last time out, as they clinched a big Premier League win at Selhurst Park on Tusday. This weekend, they turn their attention to the FA Cup fifth round, in a competition where they could see themselves as real contenders for the title due to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all being eliminated.
Palace welcome London rivals Millwall to Selhurst Park for the early kick-off on Saturday in what could be a tough game for Oliver Glasner’s side. The Lions come off a 1-0 win against Derby County and have won five of their last eight matches. The two will battle for a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup which will come at the end of March.
Crystal Palace injury news
Palace have three players that have been ruled out ahead of their game against Millwall on Saturday, with the match coming too quickly for all three.
Firstly, centre-back Chadi Riad continues to be out with a long term ACL injury that he suffered in January. Manager Oliver Glasner said: “Chadi has ruptured his ACL, so we have lost [him] for the rest of the season and even longer.”
As things stand, the 21-year-old won’t be due for a return until the start of 2026, which is a huge blow at the start of Riad’s Premier League career. Secondly, Cheick Doucoure is also out dealing with a season-ending knee injury, and defender Joel Ward will also be out for the rest of the year; he has a calf issue.

Millwall injury news
Alex Neil’s side have some more positive injury news, with three players ruled out, but also three players in doubt for the game on Saturday, meaning he could see a few players return.
Firstly, Macaulay Langstaff is out injured as he is dealing with a leg issue, which is set to keep him sidelined for around two more weeks, if his recovery goes as expected. Furthermore, Millwall will also miss Callum Scanlon, who has a hamstring injury.
The 20-year-old Liverpool loanee will likely return soon, however, with their next Championship game against Bristol City on Tuesday a possible return date for him. Ryan Leonard is also dealing with a muscle strain. It isn’t a major injury and the defender is due to return next week too, with the Bristol City game a possibility.
In terms of players that could return for the Palace match on Saturday, defender Joe Bryan had to be taken off during the Lions’ game against Derby. However, manager Neil said after the game: “I think he’s just cut the bridge of his foot. I don’t think there’s any structural damage which is pleasing.”
Ra’ees Bangura-Williams and Aaron Connolly look more set to return too as they are both dealing with minor knocks that they picked up. However, Connolly is not able to play as he is cup tied. Neil said over the weekend: “Ra’ees hopefully should be fit for the weekend and I don’t think Aaron be far away either, but he’s cup-tied so won’t matter for him.
“Aaron just had a bit of nerve pain in his back. He would’ve travelled and unfortunately pulled out yesterday just midway through training.”
