Crystal Palace vs Millwall early injury news: Ismaila Sarr and Adam Wharton updates with 8 ruled out
The latest Crystal Palace and Millwall injury news ahead of their Carabao Cup tie
Crystal Palace drew 0-0 at home to Sunderland this weekend in their latest Premier League outing. They weren’t able to make a breakthrough against the Black Cats. Oliver Glasner’s side were forced to settle for a point in the end at Selhurst Park.

They are back in action on Tuesday night in the third round of the Carabao Cup. Championship side Millwall are their opponents. In the meantime, here is a look at the latest injury news...
Crystal Palace injury news
Crystal Palace remain without Ismaila Sarr. He was left out of Senegal’s most recent international squad. The winger, who has been at Watford in the past, is expected back by the end of the month.
Midfielder Adam Wharton is also sidelined for the Eagles. Like Sarr, he is poised to return by late September. They missed his influence in the middle of the park against Sunderland. Elsewhere, Eddie Nketiah isn’t too far off playing again.
Speaking ahead of their game against the Black Cats, Glasner said: “Fortunately, all the international players came back healthy and fit so that everybody of them is available. The injured players are progressing very well.
“At the moment it looks like Adam Wharton, Ismaila Sarr and Eddie Nketiah are available at least against Liverpool, so in two weeks. That’s a great job from our medical department. Tomorrow none of them are available. Millwall, none of them is available, maybe Adam and Eddie have a chance for West Ham.
“We have 18 fit on-field players – and all the new signings will be in the squad tomorrow. There is a good chance that Yeremy [Pino] makes his starting debut for Crystal Palace tomorrow. He just needed to rest during the international break. The first week of the international break he didn’t train. He had a small injury from his last game at Villarreal. But then he started preparing on Monday.”
Millwall injury news
Millwall pair Zak Lovelace and Macaulay Langstaff have returned to training. They weren’t in the squad against Charlton Athletic on Saturday though. The Lions drew 1-1 with the Addicks at The Valley.
Lukas Jensen and Danny McNamara are long-term absentees for the second tier outfit. Billy Mitchell, Femi Azeez, Casper De Norre and Alfie Doughty are all also in the treatment room. Ahead of their most recent league fixture, their head coach Alex Neil said: “I’m not sure as it stands at the moment. We’ve still got a few sessions between now and the weekend.
“But those lads [Langstaff and Lovelace] are certainly back in training just now. They’re making good progress, and we’ll see how the others are come the end of the week.”
Following their draw at Charlton, Neil said: “Half-time was probably the angriest I've been since I've been here – because we were rubbish in the first half. It was the basics we were short on. The sending off-helped but the turning point in our favour was when we went an extra man in the middle and took a striker off. We got a foothold in the game.”
