Roy Hodgson on the brink as Crystal Palace finally identify replacement ahead of Everton Premier League game
Former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner is the man most likely to take over the reins in south London, and Palace have already made a formal approach to hire the Austrian as a replacement for Roy Hodgson.
The Eagles threw away a lead to lose 3-1 to Chelsea on Monday night, leaving them 15th on the league table and five points more than Everton. Those points could be cut down to only two if they lose to Everton on Monday night. The momentum is swinging against the former Liverpool boss and Palace chairman Steve Parish has a decision to make in the coming days.

There had been an attempt to hire former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper but LondonWorld has been told that Cooper would be interested in the job only in the summer, making Glasner a tempting option for the Eagles straight away.
It remains to be seen if Hodgson will be given the chance to be in charge at Goodison. If he does, he is likely to still be without the important trio Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Marc Guehi, all still injured and Palace play better with them in the team.
Hodgson took his 200th game in charge of the south Londoners across all competitions on Monday night as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at home to Chelsea. He was recalled out of retirement to take over from Patrick Vieira last season. After a period where he steered the team into a mid-table finish, this season has been an absolute struggle with the team struggling for form and confidence.
